Summer Concert Series


Looking for some summer musical fun? Folks planning Lake Tahoe trips this year will be treated an array of talent at this year’s Lake Tahoe Outdoor Arena at Harveys. Kicking off the season July 2 as part of their Return of the Red Eye Summer 2016 Tour is Slightly Stoopid along with SOJA, Zion I, The Grouch, and Eligh.

Mark your calendars as the summer is full. Following Slightly Stoopid, is Widespread Panic July 6 followed by James Taylor and His All-Star Band, July 13, Sting and Peter Gabriel, July 15, Tim McGraw July 23, Don Henley July 24, Keith Urban July 27 and 29, and the Steve Miller Band August 18 rounds out the season.

Four-time Grammy Award winner and American Idol judge Keith Urban brings his Ripcord World Tour 2016 with Brett Eldredge and special guest Maren Morris. “I’m seriously chomping at the bit to kick off this tour,” said Urban.

The tour kicks off in Kansas City in June and has him crisscrossing across the country and ending up with his final six performances in Australia in December. Ripcord will be released May 6 and fans can currently pre-order it on his site keithurban.net. Tickets went on sale in February and due to the demand of the July 29 date, a second concert was added on July 27. Sandwiched in between is a Bay Area appearance at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View on July 28. VIP/Meet & Greet opportunities are also available.

Over at Thunder Valley Resort in Lincoln, CA, they kick off their Summer Concert Series on June 4 with Tesla and Y&T at its Outdoor Amphitheater. Next up is Michael Bolton, June 10, V101’s Summer Jam featuring Keith Sweat, K-Ci & JoJo, and more June 11, The Beach Boys with the legendary Chubby Checker June 18, Kenny Rogers, Los Tucanes De Tijuana Y Ezequiel Pena June 25, Diana Ross July 9, Rick Springfield and 38 Special with the Romantics July 15, Charlie Wilson, After 7 and Solero July 16, Boston and GAMMA, July 17, Happy Together Tour 2016 July 22, Barenaked Ladies, OMD, Howard Jones July 23, Vince Neil of Motley Crue, Queensryche and more July 29; Papa Roach with Oleander, Some Fear None July 30.

CINCO DE MAYO. This weekend, Friday, April 29 through Sunday, May 1, northern Nevada’s largest Hispanic heritage celebration takes place at the Grand Sierra Resort parking lot in Reno, NV. The Cinco de Mayo celebration features live entertainment including popular Latin headliners such as Los Horoscopos De Durango, Tiranos Del Norte and Nuevos Cadetes, carnival rides, Mexican dancing horse performances and amateur boxing bouts. Over 100 vendors will offer specialty items, clothes, arts and crafts, community info, Mexican food, and other cuisine.
